Why Organize Your Affairs?

- In the event you become ill and could not communicate your health care wishes, documenting your important personal, health care and end of life instructions ensures that your values and important health care wishes will be adhered to by family members and health care providers.
- In the event you became incapable or passed away, organizing and consolidating important information and documents will help your family members and/or personal representatives avoid delays, increased costs, omissions and added stress administering your financial affairs.
- Having all your important information and records organized enhances peace of mind. Research has shown that people who are disorganized or have unfinished projects are more depressed, fatigued and have higher levels of cortisol, the stress hormone, than people who feel more organized and on top of things. The process of pulling together your important documents, information, and wishes will help you feel more informed, up to date and in control.
- Facing possible future incapacity and your mortality opens up space to live life more fully. By facing life’s realities and addressing unfinished business head on, your mind can be freed up for living each day you have with more attention and appreciation.

We wanted something Canadian and easy and this book guides you through creating a binder of information to leave for your loved ones. You can download forms and just fill in the details.
